What Is Chiropractic
Simply put, Chiropractic is has always been about optimal cellular function. When the cells in your body are able to receive 100% of the message from your brain, your health will be optimal. Physical, Emotional, and Chemical stressors cause these disturbance (subluxation) and imbalance to the musculo-skeletal/Psycho-immunological systems of your body. This state of imbalance allows the cells of your body to function sub-optimally, which causes an overall state of dis-ease in your body. Left uncorrected (with chiropractic spinal adjustments) a dis-eased body may eventually lead to uncontrolled cellular dis-function known as Cancer. Chiropractic Spinal Adjustments attempt to remove the disturbances known as subluxations to the nervous system, restoring normal neurological and eventually normal cellular function. A fully functional body is pre-requisite to the healing process, turning a body full of Dis-ease into a body in a state of -Ease...A vibrant optimally functional human being. That is what Chiropractors do.

Common Misconceptions about Chiropractors:

Chiropractors' are "back doctors":
The reason we became known as "back doctors" is simply because the nervous system (spinal cord and nerves) is located in the back. Had the nervous system be located in the leg, we would have been known as leg-doctors.

"Health" Insurance":
Why our health insurance should be called " sick-insurance", as they never pay for preventive care, only sick care. Come learn how your best insurance for health is
by getting chiropractic adjustment weekly. Invest and trust in your bodies ability to heal itself. Believe that your body "knows" how to be healthy. Unless you have Physical, Chemical, and/or Emotional interference you will be optimally functional and therefore optimally healthy. That is what Chiropractic is about. Chiropractic has always been about maximizing ones inner health potential, and has never been about pain relief. Pain relief is a "side-effect"

"Once you go to a Chiropractor...You always have to go"
This is a common misconception. The answer is best illustrated by using an analogy of the Dentist. Would you agree that once you brush your teeth you "always" have to brush? or is it healthy to brush your teeth daily? How long are you going to start eating healthy, and exercising, before you stop it all and let yourself go to "pot"? How long would you like to be healthy for? "Once you breathe good air, you always have to breathe good air"


"Chiropractic is like Physical Therapy"
See "what is Chiropractic" above. If you still think Chiropractic is like physical therapy, read it again. If, after that you still think it's the same, make an appointment immediately to get adjusted, you are not functioning optimally.

"Chiropractic hurts"
If you think or have experienced any pain during a chiropractic adjustment, please make an appointment with Dr. Sirota, you obviously have had the wrong doctor. Chiropractic adjustment should never hurt.
